Marrakech 2 days desert tour Early in a blue-skied morning, we will start our journey to uncover the beauties of southern Morocco. This trip will take us to the fascinating Sahara desert through mesmerising natural sceneries. Starting in Marrakesh, our destination is today is Dades Valley. Our scenic route marks our road-trip with colourful landscapes and tidy Berber Villages. Our first stop will be in Ouarzazate for Lunch. On our way to the gorges, we will have time to see the valley. It is on a cliff holding nomad Berber villages. Their houses look like a staircase to the sky. The Gorges are fascinating natural formations. They are +300 meters high. The water springs running on their foot are considered one of the highest quality in Morocco. Lunch will be in the gorges having a rich menu of local and western dishes. Our next stop will be in Tagounit. Upon our arrival, we will have enough time to explore the villages and Kasbahs on the west of the town. Our last stop today will be in Mhamid. This small village is on the edge of the sand dunes. A camel man will serve us refreshing tea upon our arrival. Then, he will take us in a surreal experience on a caravan to see a mesmerizing sunset painting the sky with a thousand and one shades of pink. We will spend the night in a nomadic fire camp listening to nomad local music and sleeping under the Poles Stars and The Milky Way.
Marrakech 2 days desert tour Early in the morning and after breakfast, we will pursue our journey to the beautiful south of Morocco. Our first stop will be in Tamegroute. This small village is famous for the library it encloses. Students from across the kingdom are coming this small isolated village seeking knowledge for its rich collection of books. Then we will proceed through fascinating sand castle to Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. These castles inspired Jimmy Hendrix during his trip to Morocco in the 60s; he wrote, “Castle Made of Sand”. Then we will continue to the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, the largest Kasbah in Morocco. Et Hami El Glaoui, the founder of this Kasbah, was one of the last Berber chieftains during the 19th century. Our last stop will be in Marrakesh where will have a sight on the famous square of Jamai’ ElFna.
